Join me on New Year’s Day 2020 to blow away the cobwebs on a bird-spotting walk around Wolverhampton’s Smestow Valley local nature reserve. Walk off the excesses of Christmas and start 2020 on a natural high!
Meet at 10am at the entrance to the former Wolverhampton Environmental Centre (WEC), off Westacre Crescent, WV3 9AR for a 2-3hr walk around the reserve, exploring different habitats and looking for birds and other wildlife. Bring your own binoculars and drinks/snacks and dress according to the weather forecast. The reserve is likely to be muddy in places so good boots or wellies are recommended.
Children under 16 are welcome and free but must be accompanied by a paying adult. Note that due to the nature of the event and in the interests of other participants’ enjoyment, noise must be kept to a minimum.
Tickets are £4 (+ 76p Eventbrite booking fee) and 100% of the ticket price for this event will be donated to the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.
