Discover the high Carneddau

P1020158

The northern part of Snowdonia is home to the Carneddau mountains. The range includes the largest continuous area of land above 2500ft south of Scotland and is home to several of Snowdonia’s highest peaks. The impression given from the busy A5 is that of a large upland of featureless, grassy, domed summits but this belies the Carneddau’s true character; one of hidden lakes, wild valleys, airy ridges and towering crags. On this walk, we’ll experience the very best of the magnificent Carneddau – and we’ll take in three of Snowdonia’s 3000ft+ summits while we’re at it: Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llewelyn.
