Walk Snowdon

P1010127

Join me on a guided walk up the magnificent Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh), the tallest mountain in Wales at 1085m/3560ft and crowning glory of the stunning Snowdonia National Park. We’ll take arguably the best walker’s route to the summit, the exhilarating and relatively quiet South Ridge, before returning to our starting point by the scenic Rhyd-Ddu path. The views are stunning throughout.

P1140289

This route is approx. 8miles/12.5km in length and involves around 3300ft/1000m of height gain through rugged terrain, over uneven paths. Some scree. One very short, easy scramble on the ascent of the south ridge where hands will be needed. Mild exposure on the crossing of Bwlch Main, where the Rhyd-Ddu and South Ridge paths meet below the summit. Good level of fitness required. Walk duration approx. 6-8 hours.
